John & Ann Rush
John and Ann Rush came to HCJB World Radio from The Peoples Church in Toronto where for over six years John had served as Minister of Evangelism and Discipleship. John is a graduate of Central Baptist Seminary where he earned his BTH. He later earned his MTS from Heritage Baptist Seminary. Over the years he and Ann have served the Lord in 4 different evangelical churches. They have 3 adult married children, all residing in Ontario.
During a missions conference at Peoples Church their hearts were challenged concerning the ministry in HCJB World Radio’s newest region – the AsiaPacific. 3.6 billion people reside in this densely populated area, including 80% of the world’s unreached people groups. The Rushes knew that day that God was asking them to go. John and Ann obeyed and were soon on their way to Australia serving with HCJB World Radio as part of a four year (2002-2006) special project assignment with The Peoples Church.
In Melbourne Ann served in the office, while John was the Radio Bible Pastor for the team, producing “Plain Talk”, a daily half-hour Bible study that airs Monday to Friday. He also shared other broadcast duties and served as a member of the Management Team. As they traveled over 85,000 miles around Australia, ministering in various areas, 250 people indicated a personal commitment to Jesus Christ!
Having completed the four year assignment, the Rushes joined the HCJB Global Canada team. John serves as “Evangelist and Radio Pastor”. Preaching across Canada in various churches and conferences John represents the international ministry of HCJB Global. Ann uses her skills to serve in the Canadian office..
